Learning About Our Classmates and Ourselves.

We wrote portrait poems using metaphors. They describe our looks. We finished these off with a couple of lines about ourselves or a message to others. Once complete we did a character mask.

  1. Kia ora Room 2,

What fabulous masks you have all made! It is great to see how bright and colourful they are and how each is unique. Our class will be learning about metaphors later in the term, so we will have to check out some of your writing for inspiration!

  2. Morena Room 2,
My name is Tania and I am one of the Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitators. I live in Whangarei, right near the top of the North Island, a long way away from you on the West Coast! I am the lucky person that gets to organise Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu so I will be checking out your blog regularly and leaving you some comments too. It's great to see you sharing your learning on your blog and on your individual blogs too. I like the idea of your portrait poems and the character masks you have created. It looks like a bright and informative wall display introducing everyone to your class. Thanks for sharing.
